25 Days of Christmas: Day 1

Thanksgiving has come and gone, now it is time to prepare for Christmas.  Christmas is the time of giving, and its always fun to find that perfect gift.  If you are like me, there are times that you get stumped on what to buy for family and friends, so it can be difficult to find what you are looking for.  Even though this first post of the series is a little late, we are going to spend the next 25 days highlighting gear, media, and ideas for the perfect gift for your family and friends that love the outdoors.  Check back everyday till Christmas for a new gift idea.

Loon Outdoors Nip N Sip 2.0

First, I could talk all day long about products from Loon Outdoors, because it is an excellent company.  They are very conservation minded and their products show it.  For our first gift idea, we are going to talk about one of my favorites.  The Nip N Sip 2.0 is a piece of gear that I don’t hit the water without it.  Even though they seem like a simple product, they are worth their weight in gold.  Compared to many other companies that make precision nippers, you won’t find a product of this calibre for the price.  At only $34.95, these nippers, with replaceable jaws, are priced extremely well.

The jaws are crazy sharp, and it includes a needle to clear hook eyes.  Another feature that makes this product unique is the bottle opener on the end.  I like to compare the Nip N Sip 2.0 to an epic mullet…business in the front, party in the back!

Pop open a cold one after a day on the water.  Celebrate good times with friends.  These are also a great companion on the fly tying desk.  Cuts thread and other materials with ease and opens your favorite suds just easily.  Pick one of these up for your favorite fisherman, and you may have to get one for yourself too.
